      Martin Pitt: Learning about MCP servers and AI-assisted GitHub issue triage

    Today is another Red Hat day of learning. I’ve been hearing about MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers for a while now – the idea of giving AI assistants standardized “eyes and arms” to interact with external tools and data sources. I tried it out, starting with a toy example and then moving on to something actually useful for my day job. First steps: Querying photo EXIF data I started with a local MCP server to query my photo library.
