Each year the Festival de Cannes International film festival brings together the cream of the movie and glamour industries for the annual prestigious gathering on the French Riviera, and this year there was a new entry for the most standout latex outfit thanks to an Italian designer.

Over the years we’ve seen highly respected latex designers such as Avellano being featured, and who can forget the time Natasha Poonawalla wore Atsuko Kudo during the ten day festival.

And whilst there may have been an embargo on risqué outfits at this years film festival , who says latex clothing at Cannes can’t be conservative?

Elisa Sottocorno , founder and creative director of Milan based boutique Belarex , certainly thinks so. Attending the premiere of the new Jodie Foster and Daniel Auteuil movie, Vie privée (A Private Life), Sottocorno graced the red carpet wearing a sublime pencil skirt from her brand.

Wearing a longer length version of the designers L.A. Pencil Skirt , the sleek form-fitting ankle length skirt, which was made from all black latex, showed off Elisa’s svelte figure and oozed both elegance and finesse. Included belt buckles and a matching belt further highlighted the fashion moguls style with a daring edge which looked totally at home amongst the glitz and glamour of the event.

Bella Hadid is no stranger to the world of latex clothing, having previously been spotted in a gorgeous latex dress from Elissa Poppy , wearing latex essentials such as gloves from Torture Garden Latex and an eye-catching latex dress from Coperni .

The VIP launch party took place at the Sessions Arts Club in London as Hadid launched her Orebella perfume brand in the UK.

Attending the prestigious product launch party, model Bella Hadid rose to the occasion wearing an outfit from current hot brand Khy x POSTER GIRL , a collaboration between London Based POSTER GIRL and Kylie Jenner.

Pairing an all-white latex boned corset from the designer which features a majestic structured bodice complimented by a low-cut sweetheart neckline and thin spaghetti straps, with an ankle length latex skirt created a high-shine moment. The outfit was coordinated with a multi-strand pearl necklace featuring a floral-shaped sparkling gemstone centerpiece.

Romanian makeup artist, content creator, and beauty influencer Danielle Marcan has amassed an enormous social media following for her work. But it was her appearance on the red carpet at the BAFTA television awards which truly caught our attention, and the 1.6 million fans she has over on her Instagram profile.

Danielle Marcan combined a sublime Candy Cup Ariel latex gown , from celebrity favourite Atsuko Kudo , with the designers couture latex hand bag to create the perfect elegant and sophisticated assemblage for the prestigious event. The stunning all black latex gown highlighted the Instagramers curves wonderfully as she looked at ease in the outfit. The ensemble was completed with a selection of complimentary necklaces, which drew attention to the halter neck design with built in cups as well as the contrasting dramatic floor skimming fishtail hem.

Matching detached sleeves completed the high-shine ensemble. This specific piece, the Miss T Column dress , hails from the revered ateliers of Atsuko Kudo , a name synonymous with sculpted latex artistry. The sublime dress combines a tapered shape leading to an ankle length and has a rear split for ease of walking, as well as featuring slimline adjustable straps and back zip. Amanda combined the attention grabbing gown with a pair of V-Shaped Gauntlets .

The occasion? A surprisingly sweet celebration indeed – the 100th anniversary of McVitie’s Chocolate Digestives at a special pop-up in Piccadilly Circus. Attending the exclusive McVitie’s event, the choice of a rich chocolate brown latex dress by Amanda Holden was a captivating reminder of the versatility and elegance of latex clothing as she elevated the high-octane look, by adding height with gold heels and a touch of modern intrigue with orange tinted sunglasses.

The Italian artisan company founded by Francesca Bellingeri in Vigevano, who began working with latex in 2013 after graduating from Politecnico di Milano University, specialises in making natural latex clothing and accessories. Hiring a team entirely made up of young Italian women, a truly insightful and unique behind the scenes video was featured over on their designers YouTube channel .

The new Esotica collection takes influence and reference from a number of unique directions; some garments taking inspiration from oriental Cheongsam dresses which include Chinese style necklines and sensual thigh-high slits whilst others take a 2000s aesthetic approach providing a more fun and flirty feel, such as the pleated skirt and vest top.

With the inclusion of a wide variety of garment styles; everything from short and long dresses, blazers, skirts AND skorts to bandeau and one-shoulder tops, trousers and unique accessories such as shoulder bags, hair clips and rings featuring a flower made entirely from latex, FBLD have created a truly accessible collection with a complete emphasis on versatility.

This spring aesthetic is also never clearer than in the palette choices; a mix of exotic colours and flavours including black, turquoise, tiffany, magenta, lilac, sand and sage. Floral details, laces and chains enrich the latex garments, creating a new idea of modern style.

Garments are clearly designed to be paired together. For example, the latex bralette top and midi skirt are the perfect combination when worn together. The Human Rights Campaign’s 2025 Los Angeles Dinner played host to a constellation of stars, but it was Janelle Monáe who truly illuminated the blue carpet, accepting the Equality Award in a latex look that was both daring and deeply chic. The garment, designed by Dead Lotus Couture was designed to mimic the sharp lines of traditional suiting, offered a masterclass in modern tailoring. Structural shoulders provided a powerful silhouette, while a faux tie detailing added a touch of classic elegance, subverted by the unapologetic gloss of the latex. The playful short flouncy skirt injected a youthful energy into the otherwise sharply defined piece. Further amplifying the drama were buckle accents placed on the bodice, mirroring the detailing on her chosen footwear: glossy black platform Mary Janes boasting lofty platform soles and sky-high block heels. These vertiginous steppers, secured with delicate silver buckle closures, elongated Monáe’s already statuesque frame, creating an illusion of unparalleled height and length.

Latex fashion and clothing advocate Ella Morgan has continued her discovery of innovative and sublime latex designers during her attendance at the annual Gaydio Radio awards, in Manchester UK, over the weekend.

Gaydio, the radio station for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in the United Kingdom, hosted their annual Gaydio Pride Awards event. Taking place at the Manchester Hilton, Ella was interviewed on the prestigious purple carpet at the awards evening, and she stunned wearing a full-length Chocolate Brown ( did someone say mocha ?) gown from The Scarlett Society Label . The dress, named the Munroe Gown combined a full-height front slit with a deep, sensual v-neck low cut front to create an outfit which screams both confidence and glamour in equal measure.

Renowned portrait photographer Charlotte Clemie was on hand to capture a radiant Ella Morgan wearing the outfit before she headed to the evening event, at which she was interviewed as she arrived at the venue:

Co-founder of latex brand Bonyx , drag queen, author and musician Bimini was also in attendance with winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs the World, Tia Kofi . The pair walked the purple carpet wearing, what else but, latex designs from the Bonyx label .
